wordweaverlynnA Very Large Software Company is giving me a contract to do workflows in Visio, thence to tech writing. It's a month-to-month contract, but they may need me until May or so. And I'd be working with Michele, which means (A) a guarantee of at least one intelligent colleague; (B) more time with my honey, and (C) carpool lane all the way!
However, the glory days of Silicon Valley are over. They want me. They can't use me, unfortunately, until I show up with a PC laptop complete with Visio. Their internal systems take weeks, and they want me tomorrow at 9AM.
So does anyone have a PC laptop with Visio they can lend me for a couple of weeks? My own Compaq gave up the ghost a while back and was replaced with the Lombard, which I adore. But it's a Mac and doesn't have Visio.
