Alive and Packing
Aug. 28th, 2005 12:05 pmTaking a quickie lunch break. The house is full of boxes, and we are still busy filling yet more of them. But we've reached critical mass--we're well past the point where, despite weeks of packing and stacks of boxes, we still seem to have at least as much still to pack as we did at the beginning.
The following people are officially this weekend's Heroes of the Revolution:
Remind me, when I get into the studio, that I do not really want more than a night off from unpacking, no matter what my crazed brain and aching muscles tell me. I do truly *want* to unpack, sort, organize, hang pictures, shelve books, file papers, and make the place comfortable and clean and beautiful.
The following people are officially this weekend's Heroes of the Revolution:
-
minimo, who came back and made even more boxes -
mortaine, who met
housepet in a mysterious parking lot and handed over the goods--a whole lot more boxes, free for the taking - The LJ-less Dave, who came yesterday and hauled dozens of boxes from the upstairs hallway, helped out in other places, and stayed friendly and entertaining all day
- and, as always,
housepet, who has scarcely sat down for weeks, who has organized, packed, hauled, and almost always continued to smile
