wordweaverlynnETA Someone has raised doubts about the legitimacy of the fundraising site. I cannot guarantee it. However, MSNBC links to a different site where her family are collecting donations. Benefits at her father's new job hadn't kicked in yet, so she is uninsured.
And apparently she's doing astonishingly well.

Many of you may have heard about the teen lesbian couple shot in Texas. One of them, Mollie Judith Olgin, was killed; the other, Mary Kristene Chapa, survived but has hospital bills.
A family member has erected a fundraising site for Chapa's medical expenses. If you can do so, I'm sure she'd appreciate the help.
And apparently she's doing astonishingly well.
